Since I’m on a first-date roll right now after posting my article about different make up looks, I feel like I wanted to bring out the romantic in me. I know Valentine’s day is still a month away but it wouldn’t hurt if you’re given an ample time to prepare right? Do something special for your loved one and here are some gift ideas that I would like to share with you guys.

1. A Home Spa For Your Loved One

Give your loved one a special treat after a very stressful day with an at-home spa experience. Try learning some basic massages (or you can also hire someone to do the job for you). You can also draw up a bath and put a bath bomb and scatter a few rose petals over it. Light a few candles (just make sure that they are away from any flammable objects/substances) just before he/she is about to arrive. Play some relaxing music in the background and prepare a bottle of wine chilling in its holder and a glass beside it.

2. A Nice Breakfast In Bed

Make your loved ones happy by serving him/her a nice breakfast in bed filled with his/her favorites! You can also prepare a small gift such as a date bottle. A date bottle is similar to writing handmade coupons. Write on each slip of paper something that you can do. It doesn’t have to be elaborate. It can just be a simple “I’m washing the dishes tonight” or “Movie Date” or even a “Calorie Fest: Pizza Delivery Day”. You can be as creative as you like!

3. Surprise Him/Her To A Game Or A Fun Trip

This gift idea may take some manpower and financial power to prepare (aren’t you glad it’s still January?) but it is definitely worth it in the end. If you have some tickets to a concert, a game or even a movie, why don’t you engage him/her into a bit of a guessing game or treasure haunt?

4. Impress Your Loved One With With Some Arts And Crafts Projects

If you don’t have the money but you’d still want to give your loved one something special, you can do so by being a little more crafty. Try filling up a small candy jar with his favorite treats. You can also make coupons or just any unique work of art that will surely be appreciated. It doesn’t matter how much it cost, the most important thing is the thought that goes with it.
