Welcome 2013: Happy New Year Everyone!
2012 came and went and now we’re in 2013! I, for one am very thankful for the great things that have happened in the past year and I’m so excited with the super amazing things that will come in store for us! If there’s one thing that I wanna do this new year, I’m going to definitely stick to my Resolutions. I gotta let go of bad habits and become a more productive person. Here are some things that we should consider to make our 2012 worthwhile:
WELCOME 2013: HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
Be Positive
Try to compare someone who’s a Negative Nelly to someone who is a Positive Piper and you can really see the difference. People who are worriers tend to become more stressed out. If you’re always stressed out, you are bound to age faster. Just look at people who are taking things into a positive perspective. They are happier, healthier and more appreciative of everything that has come into their lives. Try to change your outlook. Count your blessings instead of counting faults and failures. I know it takes a lot of work to turn it into a habit but try to keep a Gratitude journal and list down the things that you are thankful for daily, such as that coworker who helped you with the project, or having that good cup of morning coffee.
Set your goals And Create A Schedule
Most people’s New Years Resolutions tend to fall into a black hole because they sometimes become too lazy and lack motivation. If you really want to reach your goals this year, try to set realistic goals for yourself. For example, if your goal is to buy a good pair of expensive shoes, try to list down the steps to achieve it. For example, you can bring food from home instead of buying something from a fast food store. Or you can also take up a part time job.
Do Something Good For Your Loved Ones
I feel so happy whenever I make somebody else happy. Try to brighten up someone’s day by giving them words of affirmation. You can also give a friend or a family member a simple gift just to cheer them up. You can also lift up the spirits of a random stranger by giving him/her a genuine smile or by giving up your seat for an elder or just simply being nice to them even if they can be grumpy.
Lets all try to make this year a very special year for all of us. 2012 may have given us a lot of challenges but now is the time that we reflect upon ourselves, try to improve on our weaknesses and make use of our strengths so that we may be able to have a very positive and productive year.
