Beauty is My Duty

Time flies so fast and I’m now writing about fashion trends for 2013! It feels like it’s been yesterday when I wrote about 2012 trends. There were so many things that I loved about 2012, and it’s hard to say goodbye to them. However, that doesn’t mean that I shouldn’t embrace what 2013 has to offer. There are so much in store for us for this year. Take a look and check out the upcoming trends!

2013 FASHION TRENDS

Vintage Earth

Gotta love the mix of earthy tones and the fun and adventurous 60′s style. Shoes such as penny loafers are still hot right now as well as fun graphic prints such as brocades, paisley and tribal prints. You know what this means guys… you can still have so much fun experimenting with your print on print outfits! The earth tones of neutral pieces will help tone down the loudness of your statement outfits.

Sporty Style

The sporty trend of 2012 still goes on in 2013. Expect colorful caps and varsity jackets to take the reins this season. I’m sure that varsity jackets are worn by practically everyone in the planet but you can always stand out by choosing interesting clothes to pair it with. For example, instead of wearing plain jeans, get a printed one instead and then use a graphic tee. You can either choose a pair of high-tops or you can also go with army-style boots. Style your hair into waves and you will definitely look awesome in it. Just remember to have confidence to rock it!

Belted Florals

For this coming spring, our most favorite floral trends will take on the more office formal style with conservative cuts. Belted floral prints are so awesome to wear especially when you are attending a formal event or whenever you’re at work. Pair these dresses with a nice pair of heels and you will look so chic and fab. Who says that one should look drab and boring during work?

Slash Neck T-Shirts

Show your amazing collarbones with this year’s trend: slash neck tees! If you really want to make a statement, choose one that has a really eye-catching graphic print. Tuck it underneath a pair of skinnies. Accessorize with a thick belt, and a pair of Converse or Keds. Finish the look with sunglasses and a bright colored bag and you will surely have a fun casual day out with your friends.

Swimming In The Sea Of Blues

Aqua tones are so in this year. It’s actually one of my favorite colors in the color palette. Try incorporating these in your wardrobe and have fun with them! You can also do some color blocking techniques if you want to make things more interesting.

I don’t know about you guys but these trends just make feel so excited. I can’t wait to raid my closet and come up with different outfits. Try to step out of your comfort zone and play around with different combinations! You will soon find your own sense of style.
