If you’re a big fan of Girls’ Generation, I’m sure you’ve already seen their new MV. The song has a lot of different elements that it kind of reflected in the girls’ fashion pieces. We’ve seen a lot of name brand items that have been featured in this MV and I know not all of us can afford to buy those. So, how can you channel out the I Got A Boy look? Here are some tips that will help you:

1. Bring Old Jackets Back To Life

In the sequence where all of the girls are wearing denim, I can’t help but think about the early 90′s elements that were incorporated in their looks. I swear my older cousins used to wear the same kind of jackets that Yoona wore. If you still have those jackets hidden somewhere, you can bring them back to life by embellishing them with studs and incorporating them with modern pieces. You can pair this jacket with a graphic print tank top and a pair of cuffed shorts. Take it up a notch with a pair of cool sneaks and you will definitely look so cool in street fashion!

2. Crop Your T-Shirts

In the MV, most of the girls are wearing cropped T-shirts and if you are strapped for cash, why don’t you raid your closet and take out all of your old T-shirts? Cut out the bottom part of the shirt and crop it as short as you want it to look. These are perfect to wear especially if you are out walking on the beach. They will look so good as cover ups.

3. DIY Your Hats

If you have hats that are plain and boring, you can give them a cool make over by going all out with the DIY-ing! Customized caps can get really expensive and of course, not all of us have the money to afford that! Instead, make your local arts and crafts store your favorite haunt and grab lots of embellishments and studs. Choose whichever you want just as long as it suits your style. You don’t have to exactly follow the ones that they were using. The more unique your cap is, the better. An embellished cap will really make your plain outfit pop!

4. Don’t Be Afraid To Mix And Match

Sometimes it can be a little intimidating to wear something that you’re not used to. Let this video be an inspiration for you to get out of your comfort zone and embrace your own sense of style. All you need to do is to just play with whatever things you have in your wardrobe. Try to create some unique accessories out of your old stuff and then mix different pieces together. If you feel a little dubious, you can always ask for an opinion from a friend or a family member. Just have confidence and you will become an amazing trendsetter!
