I don’t know about you guys but I simply love this year’s make up trends! My heart just can’t take it because of the overwhelming love for pinks this spring and summer. Colorful winged eyeliner is also taking the limelight. It’s so fun to get more adventurous with color this year and I can’t wait to rock them! here are some of this year’s looks that you should definitely watch out for!
2013 MAKE UP TRENDS
Overdrawn Bright Red Lips
If you want to achieve pouty lips this year, you can do so with red lipstick! This is of course a classic trend that will never go away. However, in recent shows, we have seen how the make up artists tend to overdraw the lips in order to make your pucker more pouty. A touch of white liner on the cupid’s bow is also a good trick to make them look more pronounced. It’s essential that you shouldn’t go overboard with the lining, though. To achieve the perfect red lip, dab your lips with some concealer or foundation. With a red pencil, draw an outline of your lips. Try to draw it just outside of your natural lip line and then fill them in. With a lip brush, get the richest red that you have and apply your lips with it. If you want more shine, top it with gloss and you’re all set!
Bright Pink Pucker
Channel out your inner Nicki Minaj with bright magentas and flourescent pinks! They are a fun alternative to the classic red. However, they can be a little difficult to pull off but done the right way, they will really look beautiful on you. Keep your face subtle and natural and let your lips do the talking. If you don’t want to make it look too loud, keep it matte instead. Apply a lip balm on your lips before putting any color on to keep ’em hydrated.
Plum shades are so popular this season, especially for the cheeks. Create a natural flush by putting a soft dab of plum colored blush on the apples of your cheeks. Make sure to blend well and then set it with a similar colored powder blush. This will create such a subtle glow on your cheeks. Keep everything else simple. Use a couple of coats of mascara on your eyes and apply some nude-ish pink lipstick on your lips. It will create such a beautiful, yet natural look. You don’t need heavy make up just to make a statement.
Pop Of Orange On The Eyes
Tangerine Orange may no longer be the color of the year, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t rock it. I love how this makes your eyes pretty and glowing, especially with a delicate black winged eyeliner and a couple coats of mascara. It will be such a treat for the eyes!
