During the daytime, most of us would wear natural looking make up that would work well especially on casual days. However, when night time comes, everything should go up a notch. Night time make up looks consist of eye catching shades and glitters. In order to get that perfect night time look, here are a few pointers.
MAKE UP TIPS FOR A NIGHT OUT
1. Eyes Or Lips
It is recommended that you choose either eyes or lips as your focal point. It would be too over the top to do both. If you like to put more focus on your eyes, a heavily lined, smokey eye make up and loads of mascara will do the trick. Keep your lips in a more neutral color. Intense eye make up will give you a seductive glow that is perfect for a night out with your friends.
If you want to bring more focus on your lips, tone down your eye make up by using more natural eye shadow shades. Thin out your eyeliner and mascara. As for lips, make sure to exfoliate them so that the application of the lipstick will be smooth. You wouldn’t want to have unsightly cracks or peeling skin . Apply some lip balm first before applying lipstick. Choose colors that are eye catching such as reds, corals or even deep burgundy colors.
2. Practice Make s Perfect
If you are going on an important event and you don’t want to spend money for someone to do it for you, practice doing your own make up at home. Try watching make up tutorial videos and use those techniques at home. You will eventually learn how to apply your make up like a pro.
3. A Dramatic Cat’s Eye
A heavy winged eyeliner gives off such a sexy and seductive look to your eyes. If you are a newbie in the winged eyeliner department, use a thick business card that you can hold at a 45 degree angle from the corner of your eye. Apply the eyeliner as thick or as thin as you like. If you find it a little tricky to use a liquid eye liner, you can use a pencil liner or a cream/gel based one. For cream/gel eye liners, use a sturdy eyeliner brush for easy application. Also, apply it in strokes instead of a one full swipe for easier control.
4. Make Your Own Shimmer Lotion
A little bit of shimmer on your skin will look so gorgeous when the light hits it. If you don’t have any shimmer lotion on hand, you can use a light weight travel size lotion. Empty it in a container. Mix in some of your shimmer eye shadow (ones that you no longer use). Break the eye shadow into tiny pieces and blend them in the lotion. Try to use a little at a time so that you would know how much shimmer you would need. Too much shimmer can be overwhelming. If you have warm toned skin, stick to gold or pink shimmers. If your skin is cooler toned, use a silver shimmer.
These night time make up tips will give you such a gorgeous look that people will definitely be turning their heads at you. Give them a little practice and you will eventually become the belle of the ball.
